Ross E Miller
Meet the founder and lead Artisan of Cleveland Auto Reserve and Rehab Auto Group, Ross E Miller. Ross has been modifying cars since before he could drive. In 1991, when Ross was 15, he started modifying the sound system in the family’s Ford Tempo. he has continued to practice and learn the appropriate skills over the last 30 years to be able to create the masterpieces on these pages.
Early History
- Worked at several custom shops in the Akron, Ohio area right after High School.
- Studied Electronics and Engineering in the US Navy
-In the late 90s, Ross Worked in Retail management in South Florida. He managed clothing stores by day, and continued building custom sound systems by nights and weekends. He was an IASCA judge for Florida for a few season, judging custom sounds systems for install and sound quality.
- by 2000, Ross’ focus had shifted to import performance, body kits, suspension, wheels, etc... Setting up cars with nitrous and other go fast goodies for street racing in West Palm Beach and all over South Florida.
- by the mid 2000’s Ross had returned to Ohio and was managing restaurants around the Akron and Cleveland area. He was able to enjoy working on cars as a hobby, but noticed that none of the shops put much effort into the quality of their work or service. There was next to no Exotic car market either.
- Ross outer running restaurants and quit to forge a new path with his own custom car business in 2009. That year, Ross teamed up with Vaccar Industries and designed and build a custom Ford Fusion that was featured in the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The car won 4 awards at the show and had a featured magazine article. It was a great start to what we have now with Rehab Detailing and the several subordinate companies.
- Ross went out to Vegas for the SEMA show in 2013 to showcase his 3rd car that was being featured there. It was during this trip that he formulated the creation of Rehab Detailing.
Spin Off Companies
- Ross tried a lot of different ways to expand the business’ service offerings over the year. They all seemed like they would have seen plenty of success had he been able to manage and staff them effectively. He created amazing side companies like Cleveland Custom Wheels, Luxury Home Coatings, Rehab Auto Design, Cleveland Tesla and several others!
- Ross is a gifted visionary and treats automotive work as an artist would. Turning that experience into a big commercial process just doesn't suite his goals for the future.
Rehab Detailing
- Rehab Detailing (the original detailing company) started in December of 2013 in a friend’s garage in Beachwood, Oh (2 blocks from where the current studios are)
- Ross worked as a waiter for several years while Rehab Detailing was gaining momentum, even while he had several employees working at Rehab.
- Rehab Detailing started out offering High-line Detailing, Vinyl Wrapping (the first in Cleveland) and window tinting. This quickly morphed into other custom items such as wheels, exhaust, suspension and body kits. Ross added additional detailing services added as well such as Paint Protection Film and even project management.
- Ross continued to grow his brand and master the art of detailing over the last 10 years. He built a large client base and had several notorious projects such as the bagged, matted out R8 and the 650ib C8 Corvette.
- The work was so good and so consistent that word of mouth quickly spread and allowed rehab detailing to grow very fast without any advertising or paid marketing.
- In 2022 Rehab Detailing moved into a 9,000ft2 facility in Beachwood and started renovating it into a dream shop. The massive volume and complexity of running a larger shop with a large staff had moved away from the original vision. So he launched Cleveland Auto Reserve to offer a more custom tailored, concierge approach to high-end detailing and customization.
Cleveland Auto Reserve
- In the Spring of 2023, Ross formed Cleveland Auto Reserve to get back to the simplicity of servicing clients in the most comprehensive methods. Unfortunately this level of service has to be limited in order to be effective which is why there is a membership for this type of service.
- Ross intends to offer a level of service that has never been seen before in the industry.
Future Plans and Goals
- As Cleveland Auto Reserve gets into full swing we will be hosting events that are geared towards the impassioned car owner. Exclusive parties, cruises, photoshoots and so much more will be available to members only.
- New facilities that will offer private customizable garage/ man cave spaces with other amenities like a restaurant, high-end shops and other TBA options!
